TLDR : I have most of the stuff in that Izotope bundle. Learning the basics first is a much better use of time I think. If you try and use too many plug-ins you'll end up chasing your tail. Seriously though, there's not much you can't do with Logic alone Some EQs such as the fabfilter stuff might be nicer to use sometimes, but you seriously would be very hard pushed to tell the difference in a mix. Use reverbs and delays on sends so you can turn down the fx with one fader (it's easy to overcook fx) and sending multiple instruments to one reverb helps make things sound cohesive. I think you will get more out of learning about using Logic's busses so you can for example put all the drums on one bus, percussion on another, bass on another so you can balance the mix bit by bit and then if you need to bring down the drums, it's one fader (and you can put just a tiny touch of bus compression to help glue things together). I can see the attraction of Ozone, but there are no shortcuts to mastering Logic's built in limiter will ruin a mix just as easily as Ozone will :-D

For Iris, I would always turn to Alchemy first too.

IZOTOPE INSIGHT 1.5 UPGRADE

Iris and Trash in the isotope bundle won't be much of an upgrade over what's built it For trash, you can load up the guitar pedal boards and amp sims and get much nicer distortion. But learning Logic inside out first helps me do that. Adding loads of fx is what always makes things go south for me. You don't need much more than a bit of EQ and a tiny bit of compression to mix a track. My advice would be to use all the native stuff first and learn how Logic's EQs and compressors behave before thinking about upgrading/replacing them. The built in plug-ins in Logic are excellent and extremely efficient You can literally run thousands on your M1. Logic comes with so much (too much even) stuff you won't run out of things to learn for years. What I'd suggest is don't buy anything until you know you need it. They regularly do these kinds of bundles. It's a good deal but it, or something very similar, will be back later.

IZOTOPE INSIGHT 1.5 WINDOWS 7

I had a brief amount of time using a Windows 7 laptop In 2012-14 to gig with for a while, but I really just selected presets and played live and not recording. I’ve pretty much only been using iOS for music for the past several years. I ain’t no dope, but I heard I need iZotope. I think I would not use half of these in the bundle, but the ones that appear to get you started in a direction for EQ, mixing, and mastering seem like they might be worth investing in. I am quite awful at the whole mixing and mastering thing, and that is why I am interested in these tools to get me started in a direction. This is available in the United States, I am not sure about other countries.

IZOTOPE INSIGHT 1.5 INSTALL

I realize they may not work on M1 now, but I also have this 2012 Mini that can get Logic if I wanted to install it and it’s not yet on Big Sur/M1.

IZOTOPE INSIGHT 1.5 MAC

I am very new to desktop music making, as in I just got this M1 Mac Mini last week, got Logic, and I’m still slowly working through tutorials. I saw an iZotope bundle for what appears to be a reasonable price and I’m wondering about thoughts from people that use them here.
